Not the kind you have with coffee. Sadly.
We keep it short. One cookie remembers your choice, and Google Analytics only runs if you say yes. No advertising cookies, and nobody from social media reading over your shoulder. The full list is below. It won't take long.
Introduction
We use as few cookies as possible. Only the ones the site needs to work are set automatically. Analytics cookies are set only if you say yes.
This policy follows the Icelandic Electronic Communications Act no. 70/2022, the Icelandic Act on Data Protection no. 90/2018 and the GDPR. The website is run by Eskimóar ehf., trading as North of Normal, Skútuvogur 1b, 104 Reykjavík, Iceland.
1. What cookies are

Necessary cookies are needed for the site to work and to remember your cookie choice. They do not need your consent.
Analytics cookies tell us which pages people visit, how long they stay and roughly where they come from. We use this to improve the site. Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited. We have turned on IP anonymisation and we do not use the data for advertising. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies from social media platforms.
3. Your choices
When you first visit the site, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Nothing except necessary cookies is set until you choose. Declining is as easy as accepting.
You can change your mind at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer of the site. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
4. More information
For more about how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy. For questions, email hello@northofnormal.is.
5. Changes
If we add or change cookies, we will update this policy and ask for your consent again where needed.
